ok this post is gonna be filled with spiderman spoilers so look away if you haven't seen it. the main spoiler: it was excellent.

first of all, let's give it up for the OG, tobey maguire. without him, none of us would be here. i don’t think it’s dramatic to say we owe him for everything. he started out this comic book movie trend ok!!! and when he stopped peter from killing green goblin? yeahh boy, you show em why you're the OG you remind them!!

when andrew garfield came on, my soul left my body. did not expect to cry. thee best spiderman and i'm so happy he got to wear the suit again.

let's ALSO give it up for green goblin and doc ock, THEEEEE best comic book movie villains. WHO can touch them?! no other movie has been able to capture the magic of those characters played by willem dafoe and alfred molina. we will be chasing that high for the rest of out lives.

this movie had EVERYONE. obviously eddie/venom were great but i mentally checked out when i saw my sweet baby boy matt again. that was all i cared about. i would die for him. i would kill for him. when he caught the brick? it singlehanded saved my life. come back to me, beloved.

another shout out to the hardest working actor in the MCU, benedict wong. he is in, what? every movie? i hope his paycheck is huge. cumberbatch, too. the dr strange cast carries the MCU on their backs.

anyway, not only was the cast amazing but it really was an excellent movie. it was just a very different superhero movie! it really was about saving instead of winning, and it was really touching. i think we need more movies like that. i think that was really powerful.

also may deserved better!!!!!!!!!!!!

and yeah i did cry a little bit. the emotional beats in this one hit hard

There is no way vulture and electro are going to get along, they're way too petty and stubborn, sorry doc it's a lost cause (I do think they would get along at some point but it's def wayyyyyyy down the line (<a thing mentioned in a continuation au of mine expect not rlly a continuation au, more like uhh idk 5 years later) (< will talk about this sometime)

AND HEHEH YEAHH, love the idea of shocker and electro being drinking buddies, or just buddies in general, they are everything to me (plus making my 2 fav characters interact more is the funnest thing ever)

YEAHH he would definitely be very careful about approaching electro and start off just checking in him here and there but electro would def not be in the right mindset to let himself talk to curt again. ESPECIALLY considering after how doc ock basically left him to die before and still being fresh off that incident would just amplify the anger, betrayal and fear he was feeling.

Especially since I think electro greatly fears actual confrontation, he falls so easily into the role of being electro and being that overconfident reckless villain since it's so much easier then actually have to talk about his problems since showing that weakness, constantly leads him to be so vulnerable and ARGHHH.

AND YEAH I HAVE WATCHED ATLA AND yeah I see the connection!!!! DEF a lot of mistrust after all he lost his trust in curt before, he thought he could trust doc ock but couldn't and now curt wants to try to gain his trust again? He would definitely suspect ulterior motives and augh augh

And curt thinking sharing the lizard accident would help electro relate to him and be more comfortable with him, only for electro's anger and jealousy to increase. It'd def tak him so time to rationalize it all but it would absolutely make things so much more complicated for him.

Which is a pattern I think in electro and his relationships with people he knew or sorta knew before the accident, such as curt as mentioned before, or him and Eddie (<lots of thoughts about them too, might talk about them too sometime) and him and Peter (<very atsv spot and miles like, def will talk about them sometime) but ARGHH a lot of it is just so complicated and ARGHH anyways I love dynamics

vulture still holds grudges towards electro for that christmas tree incident... my guy doesn't really think before he acts 😔

as (forced by doc) compensation, electro helped improve his wings. and maybe tampered with them for a negative effect... just a little. like the bitch he is

he acts like a brat towards him tbh. dick student and dick teacher dynamic LOL

they barely talk. electro still had some respect for curt when he joined the sinister six, but it all went away after... y'know

yeah... don't expect a positive interaction ever since. thinking about the possible post-s2 angst with these two....

i mean, think about it. max trusted connors a LOT. he didn't even turn fully evil when he became electro, he still was looking for his help, becaues he trusted him. now he's locked in a cell by the man he trusted.
